Fire officials are trying to figure out what caused a deadly blaze in Oakville Sunday afternoon.

A woman in her 80’s was killed – she was the only person inside and her name hasn’t been released.

A neighbour called 911, but the home at 361 Sawyer Road was fully engulfed by the time fire crews got to the scene.

The fire is believed to have started in the basement.
