Extreme cold weather alert continued for Niagara

Niagara region’s Public Health Department is continuing the Extreme Cold Weather Alert.

The alert was issued Friday as the temperature dropped below minus 10 celsius.

Temperatures are forecast to be closer to seasonal values Tuesday after the weekend’s cold.

The average daily high temperature for this time in January in Niagara is about one below zero.
