Bulldogs will recognize soldiers

Prior to their game against the Marlies, the Bulldogs will have a special ceremony to honour the late Corporal Nathan Cirillo, and all those who serve in the Canadian Armed Forces.
This is the specially-designed uniform that the Bulldogs will be wearing on Friday night in honour of Corporal Cirillo, who was tragically killed while serving his country, leaving behind a five-year old son.
Young Marcus Cirillo and his family will be at the FirstOntarioCentre for this special tribute and players like Charles Hudon are thankful to be playing in his honour: “We know he’s behind us and I hope we are behind him too. So, we will make that evident tomorrow and it’s gonna’ be a big night.”
Hudon wants nothing more than to win for the Cirillo family, and with the success he’s had lately, the Bulldogs have a pretty good chance of making that happen.
The 20-year old Alma, Quebec native was named the American Hockey League’s rookie of the month after scoring 5 goals and 9 assists in 12 games.
Head Coach Sylvain Lefebvre: “This kid’s got a lot of potential and once he’s going full throttle there’s no limits of what he can do.”
Hudon is now in a three-way tie as the AHL’s top scorer with a total of 23 points.
The Bulldogs have won four of their last five games, and Hudon has scored the game-winner in two of them.
Lefebvre: “We know that the crowd’s going to be emotional tomorrow night and we want to use that emotion the right way, and use it to help us win the hockey game.”
The Bulldogs will also pay tribute to late hockey legend Jean Beliveau before the puck drops on Friday night. Which promises to be an evening many will never forget.
