Oakville crash closes QEW lanes, complicates commute

A big traffic disruption on the QEW in Oakville this morning, after a crash involving a tractor trailer and a car.

It happened shortly after 4 am. The collision west of Trafalgar Road left the bit rig jacknifed across several westbound lanes of the highway.

A parent and two children who were travelling in the were assessed by paramedics.

Some debris from the truck caused a slowdown in Toronto-bound traffic.

Lanes reopened just after 8 o’clock.
