An internationally-renowned cast of Canadian figure skaters will take part in the Skate Niagara Ice Show January 30th at the Meridian Centre in St. Catharines. Acclaimed choreographer Sandra Bezic, and former world champion Kurt Browning were at today’s announcement. Also featured in the show, Olympic ice dancers Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir and the world champion Burlington-based Nexxice synchronized skating team.

Choreographer and producer Sandra Bezic: “Our cast is diverse, but they all share a passion to skate. And that is the common denominator and I want to celebrate their passion, Celebrate their varied talents.”

Nexxice head coach Shelley Barnett: “If you’ve never seen Synchro before, it’s a blur of colour and excitement and emotions with good technical skating.”

Kurt Browning, four-time world champion: “Anybody can do that. Look, any of the skaters can do that on TV. Of course, because they’re on TV. But when you talk to them in person and they see you fall in practise, hopefully not in the show. But when they seen that you’re a person, it makes a bigger impression on youth.”
