Argyll’s honoured before Tiger-Cats game

Remembrance Day and the Ticats last home game joined forces Saturday.
Hamilton’s fallen soldier Nathan Cirillo was honoured before the game and some of his Argyll and Sutherland Highlander brothers who served in World War Two got ovations from the football crowd as they received special recognition from France.
The ceremony at centre field included Premier Kathleen Wynne, and the Consul-General of France, who awarded the medals to four Argyll’s as a thank you for the liberation of France.
The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders piped the Ticats onto their home field in what was a quintessentially proud Hamilton moment.
On Sunday the Argyll’s hold their annual Remembrance Day march. Tomorrow they will start at the Armories and head to Liuna Station, instead of the Cenotaph at Gore Park because it is still under construction.
