Brantford Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Sunday night.

Police say a 34-year-old woman was stabbed on Erie Avenue. She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the suspect and the woman are known to each other.

The man was seen leaving in a pickup truck.

Police are now looking for 30-year old Albert Michael James Hilliker.

Hilliker is wanted for attempted murder.

Police say he is known to carry knives and should be considered dangerous.
