Halton Police have issued a warning about dangerous street drugs after five people were hospitalized for using them in the last 10 days.

Four of the victims were taking MDMA.

The other person was under the influence of opiates.

Halton Police say they’ve been seeing these sorts of bad reactions to drugs since July.

Last summer, Police also reported a spike in heroin overdoses.

There is no word on the condition of the five who were hospitalized.

Samples of the drugs have been sent to Health Canada for analysis.
