CHCH story on Hamilton sink hole gets results

The day after a story aired on CHCH News about a potentially dangerous Hamilton Mountain sink hole, crews were in repair mode today.

City workers investigated and repaired the sink hole that’s next to a sewer on city property on Christie Street. Residents say at first it was more than a metre deep.

One man, Ashok Kumar, even filled it in himself after contacting the city several times to have something done about it. Kumar says the problem hadn’t been addressed since two years ago, when crews left a orange pylon at the site.
