Fire fighters respond to fire at compost facility in Hamilton

Fire fighters battled a blaze at a compost facility on Burlington Street in Hamilton Sunday afternoon.

The Resource Recovery Centre was closed for the weekend when the fire broke out at around 2:30PM.

The building was full of thick, black smoke, making it difficult for crews to get to the source of the fire.

Nobody was hurt in the blaze, and the cause is still unknown.
