West Nile Virus found in Hamilton

For the first time this year, Hamilton Public Health has found mosquitoes that tested positive for the West Nile Virus.
The mosquitoes were found in two traps in lower east Hamilton.
Public health officials say you should cover up, wear insect repellent, make sure screens are in place on windows and doors, avoid being outdoors from early evening to morning and reduce mosquito breeding areas by getting rid of standing water in wooded areas.
