OPP take aim at distracted driving

Provincial police say 10 unmarked vehicles will be out on Ontario roads this Labour Day weekend looking for distracted drivers.
That’s in addition to regular patrols that will be underway on the holiday.
Anyone caught talking or texting on their phones or engaging in other distracting behaviour will pay the price. The force says 35 people have died so far this year in motor vehicle collisions that distracted driving played a role in.
Last year 86 people lost their lives in distraction related crashes.
The OPP says the collisions surpassed impaired driving and speed related deaths last year.
