Stabbing suspect found not criminally responsibly

A Hamilton man charged after a stabbing rampage in March has been found not criminally responsible.

Five people were injured in an apartment building on Melvin Avenue. Experts have testified that Kevin Richards, 27, had a severe mental disorder at the time of the violent incident.

Richards has been transferred to the Waypoint Centre for Mental Healthcare in Penetanguishene. He was facing several charges including break-and-enter and aggravated assault.
