One-third of Ontarians say Horwath should step down: poll

Meantime, a new forum research poll finds that one third of Ontarians think NDP leader Andrea Horwath should resign in the wake of her recent provincial election defeat.
Horwath was the most popular political leader for years, but her approval ratings have fallen since premier Kathleen Wynne took office last year. The forum poll suggests that trend is continuing after Wynne led the Liberals to a majority government in the June 12 election.
It also found that 35 per cent of people believe Horwath should step down as leader, while 43-percent felt she should stay on. 21 per cent had no opinion.
