‘Free Day’ Saturday at Hamilton pools & attractions

If the Canada Day long weekend wasn’t enough to look forward to, this Saturday the Hamilton Community Foundation wants you to leave your wallet at home.

The group is turning 60 and to celebrate they are paying your admission to more than 50 Hamilton-area pools, galleries and museums. On the list are the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum, Dundurn Castle and Battlefield House.

The foundation says it’s one small way they are thanking the community for decades of support. The group takes donations and distributes them as grants to local charities in the arts, culture and recreation.
