Study on violence against women at McMaster

The sexual assault centre in Hamilton and area, or SACHA, has released findings of its two-year study on violence against women on campus at McMaster University.
The joint study with YWCA Hamilton focuses on making changes to the university’s sexual harassment policy and empowering survivors. Tackling the issue head on is especially important at the post-secondary level: women aged 18 to 24 experience the highest rates of sexual violence in Canada.
SACHA director Lenore Lukasik-Foss hopes the in-depth report will lead to change. “We’re really excited to see what will happen next, what the university will take up and how things will move forward beyond the project.”
The study’s been posted on SACHA’s website. They are looking for feedback and ideas.
