Over the edge for charity

(Updated) There are many different things non-profit organizations do to raise money. Some hold bake sales, others sell chocolate bars. This year, Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Hamilton and Burlington are doing something different — literally having fundraisers go over the edge.
It went as well as could be expected for a reporter who is scared of heights, but it was all for a great cause. Tomorrow, 76 participants will go down the same way i did. Each had to raise $1,000 for the opportunity.
It all takes place on the tallest commercial building in Hamilton and the non-profit wanted a new and exciting way to profile their organization and the mentorship role they play in the lives of youth.
So far they have raised $90,000 and that number keeps climbing.
This is the first time they have ever attempted anything like this. They sold out all their slots, but next June they will do it again.
