Commercial vehicle blitz nets 199 charges

Halton Police say a two-day commercial vehicle enforcement blitz in Burlington had a failure rate of more than 30 per cent.

Officers inspected 154 commercial vehicles this week, and say 48 were taken off the road for equipment and maintenances deficiencies.

The blitz resulted in 199 charges under provincial law, and two immigration-related offences.
