Claremont Access won’t close

Getting up and down Hamilton mountain will be a little easier than we first thought.

The city has cancelled the rock scaling set for the Claremont Access this weekend. Officials sent out an alert this morning.

This type of maintenance work has been done once a year on the Claremont Access since the rock slide in 2012.

However city workers are still dealing with rock scaling on the Kenilworth Access. It’s still closed in both directions.

The downbound lanes of the Kenilworth Access aren’t expected to re-open until Monday. The upbound lanes will stay closed for another two weeks.
