4 arrested in robbery

Police have arrested four young men after a robbery in downtown Hamilton.

A 26-year-old woman had her purse stolen by a man claiming to have a gun just before 1:00 this morning near Peter and Hess Streets. She gave police a description of the car in which he took off, and the licence plate.

Soon after, Hamilton Police pulled over a silver Honda Civic that had been stolen earlier in the night. Police found a replica handgun inside.

All four Hamilton men are now facing robbery-related charges. The driver was 16 years old and the three passengers range from ages 15 to 17. They are being held for a bail hearing.
