Hamilton man raises money with talk to CN Tower

A Hamilton resident began his long journey to the CN Tower today, and he’s doing it all on foot.

Luke Fillion is raising money for St. Peter’s Hospital in memory of his mother who passed away last year.

“When she went to St.Peter’s, her quality of life improved,” said Fillion. “The community there, the staff, the volunteers were the most loving people. They gave me the greatest gift — my mom. She was able to live and focusing on living and not dying and I really wanted to give back.”

Fillion has raised a few hundred dollars so far, and hopes to raise thousands more. The money will help St. Peter’s Hospital buy a pressure mapping system that will help prevent and treat skin ulcers. The system costs roughly $20,000.
