Man arrested in double stabbing

Hamilton Police have arrested one of the two men suspected in a double stabbing at a downtown home on Sunday night.

Joseph Mark LaLiberte, 51, has been charged with aggravated assault in relation to the stabbing.

When police arrived at the home, they found LaLiberte and his 85-year-old father suffering from stab wounds.

The father was treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while LaLiberte was treated for minor injuries.

LaLiberte is due in court on May 2.
