44-year-old motorcyclist dead after serious collision in Niagara Falls

Police are asking for witnesses to come forward following a fatal motorcycle collision in Niagara Falls on Saturday afternoon.
Officers were called to the scene of a crash on Oakwood Drive south of McLeod Road at 2:17 p.m.
Investigators say a gray 2022 Chevrolet Equinox and a black 2011 Yamaha F8C motorcycle collided.

The driver of the motorcycle, a 44-year-old man from Thorold, was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver of the Chevrolet Equinox was not injured.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing by the collision reconstruction unit and the forensic services unit.
