4 great spots to visit that are part of the Hamilton International Village BIA

First Published:

Emily Vukovic was in Hamilton checking out four spots that are part of the Hamilton, International Village BIA.

Theatre Aquarius was her first stop, which just got a new Pride crosswalk in front, to let everyone know they are welcome and their experience in the theatre, whether in the audience or onstage, is valid. Speaking of onstage- next week Jake Epstein, from Degrassi, hits the stage with his show ‘Boy Falls From the Sky, and then the final show of the season is ‘Beautiful Scars’ by Tom Wilson. Theatre Aquarius is located at 190 King William St.

Emily’s next stop was to the vintage shop, Omnes, which is filled with clothing and sneakers from the late 80’s to now. Omnes is located at 191 King St E.

If you are looking for a great place to workout, check out Fit Barre. They offer classes 7 days a week focusing on getting strong through their Fit Barre, Fit Form, Foundations, Cardio Barre and Stretch & Release classes. Fit Barre also offers an 8 week Barre Babies class to help mothers retrain their core and get back to feeling strong and confident post-partum. Fit Barre is located at Suite 300, 145 Main Street E.

The last stop for Emily has been a fine-dining staple in Hamilton for 54 years. Shakespeare’s Steak & Seafood is a family owned and run restaurant, serving up surf and turf and, according to Martin Short, the world’s best garlic bread. While the entrees look amazing, make sure you save room to try their specialty dessert- Apple beignets. Shakespeare’s is located at 181 Main St. E.
