36th Brott Music Festival receives $1.2M in funding

Funding for the 36th season of the Brott Music Festival was announced on Friday.

MP Filomena Tassi along with MP Lisa Hepfner and Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath made the announcement of $1.2 million from the Canada Arts Training Fund.

“Since 1987, the Brott Music Festival has made significant contributions to the development of musical appreciation and musical education in Hamilton and in Canada,” Tassi said.

Brott founded the festival in Hamilton back in 1987. It’s the largest orchestral music festival in Canada.
