$30K reward offered for tips on Niagara Falls bank robbery

Niagara Regional Police are offering a $30,000 reward to anyone with information that leads to the arrest of suspects involved in an armed bank robbery over two months ago.

Investigators are looking for two suspects following a robbery at the Meridian Credit Union on Portage Rd. in Niagara Falls around 8 p.m. on Feb. 23.

Officers say two men entered the bank and demanded cash from the employees while showing a handgun. The suspects received an undisclosed amount of Canadian money.

Police say no one was injured during the robbery.

The men fled the scene in a white Dodge Caravan with stolen licence plates.

The first suspect is described as a 50-year-old Black man who is six feet and has a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black mask, black jacket, black gloves, dark grey pants and black shoes.

The second suspect is described as a 30-year-old Black man who is five-foot-nine and has a medium build. He was last seen wearing a mask, black pants, burgundy shoes and a grey hooded sweatshirt with “Barrie” on the left chest and a maple leaf logo underneath.
