3 charged in Halton drug trafficking investigation

Halton police have made three arrests following a drug trafficking investigation throughout Oakville, Hamilton and Toronto between May and July of this year.

Investigators were able to identify a suspect and a vehicle that were seen making drug transactions in the three regions between May 25 and July 19.

On July 28, officers executed search warrants at two homes in Toronto and a vehicle associated with an identified suspect.

As a result of the search warrants, police were able to seize around 332 grams of fentanyl, around 143 grams of cocaine, 11 grams of methamphetamines, items consistent with drug trafficking activity and $1050 in Canadian currency.

Three suspects were identified in this investigation and have been arrested and charged.

Twenty-six-year-old Joshua Palmer Foster of Toronto faces charges of trafficking a controlled substance, possession with the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a weapon that police described as a brass knuckle-handed knife.

Dejaunte Larose, 24, of Toronto is charged with possession with the purpose of trafficking, unauthorized possession of a weapon and failure to comply with release order.

Destiny Lyons, 24, of Toronto is charged with possession with the purpose of trafficking.

Palmer Foster and Larose are being held in custody pending a bail hearing, while Lyons was released on an Undertaking.
