27-year-old Alberta man identified as victim in Oakville shooting

Halton police have identified the victim of last week’s fatal shooting in Oakville.

Police say 27-year-old Arman Dhillon of Alberta was killed.

Police were called to the area of Belt Lane and Littlefield Road in Oakville shortly after 1 a.m. on Aug. 19 after receiving reports of gunshots.

A man was pronounced dead at the scene and a woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The suspect’s vehicle has also been confirmed as a white Acura MDX. It was set on fire on Addingham Crescent in east Oakville the same day.

Investigations continue. Anyone with information or surveillance video is asked to contact police.
