22-year-old man charged in connection with Highway 6 barn fire

A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a fire at a vacant barn on Highway 6 in Flamborough that left the roadway closed for hours on Monday morning.
Emergency crews responded to the blaze at a barn in the area of Highway 6 and Concession 5 West shortly after 11 p.m. on Sunday and continued to battle the flames into the early hours of Monday.
Hamilton Police say that the home on the property was unoccupied at the time and no injuries were reported.

Investigation has revealed evidence of a break and enter at the barn and the use of an accelerant to start the fire.
An unnamed 22-year-old man from Hamilton has been arrested and faces break and enter and damage to property charges.
