2 teens arrested in connection to stabbing in Pelham: police

Niagara police have arrested two teenage boys in connection to a stabbing in Pelham that left a 19-year-old with critical injuries.
Police say they saw three boys fighting in the area of Highway 20 East and Rice Road shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Officers say they intervened and saw that one of the boys had multiple stab wounds.
Paramedics on-scene tended to the victim’s injuries and later took him to an out-of-region hospital.
One of the suspects was also taken to a local hospital for minor injuries sustained in the fight.

Two 16-year-olds from St. Catharines and Kitchener are facing charges for assault causing bodily harm.
The teenager from Kitchener is also facing charges for failure to comply with probation.
Both suspects were held for a bail hearing on Friday at a St. Catharines courthouse.
Investigators say the victim and suspects knew each other before this incident.
