2 men charged in Halton auto theft investigation: police

Halton police have arrested two men from Quebec as the regional task force continues to investigate vehicle thefts in the area.
Investigators say that the task force identified a suspect believed to be responsible for numerous auto thefts in the Halton and Greater Toronto areas.
Search warrants executed at a commercial property in Orangeville led to the recovery of numerous stolen vehicles and an additional search at an industrial warehouse in Toronto led to the discovery of several more.
On Sept. 21, members of the task force executed a search warrant at a home in Oakville and found two men who were arrested for their involvement in the network.

Twenty-year-old Ali Kirisikoglu faces five charges, including three counts of motor vehicle theft and one count of possession of an automobile master key.
Nicolas St-Jean-Lamothe, 26, faces five charges in connection with the case, including two counts of motor vehicle theft and possession of a device to obtain computer service.
Additional arrest warrants have been issued for two unidentified males.
As a result of the investigation, 25 stolen vehicles have been recovered thus far.
