Investigators say there was a “large number of patrons” inside the bar at the time of the shooting and two suspects were seen fleeing the scene in dark coloured clothing.
Police say Kakamad and Hasan were arrested Wednesday. “One male was arrested in the City of Vaughan while the other male was arrested in the City of Niagara Falls,” said Hamilton police in a news release. “Multiple units within the Hamilton Police Service played a vital role in the safe arrest of these individuals.”
Police say investigators will not discuss any evidence as it pertains to the case which is now before the courts.
