CHCH takes part in UPS Plane Pull event that raised nearly $220K

First Published:

All eyes were on a fierce competition near the Hamilton Airport today.

It’s team Morning Live led by Tim Bolen against team Evening News led by Nicole Martin and her baby Mia.

The two news teams managed to raise close to $20,000, and combined with more than 60 other teams taking part, the UPS Plane Pull raked in close to $220,000 for the United Way of Halton and Hamilton.

Martin said, “I think they do so much for the Hamilton and Burlington communities. We have major issues, people in dire need. The work they do is impactful. Anything we can do to make a difference, it’s what we’re here to do.”

While both teams put in a valiant effort, the Morning Live team pulled the UPS cargo plane faster, but Evening News raised more money for the United Way of Halton and Hamilton, so in a way, everybody wins.
