18-year-old seriously injured in Welland motorcycle collision

An 18-year-old woman is facing serious injuries following a motorcycle collision in Welland on Sunday evening.

Niagara police say they were called to the area of Southworth Street and Marc Boulevard around 5 p.m. for reports of a motor vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, officers determined that a motorcycle travelling northbound on Southworth Street lost control and collided into the rear of a brown Hyandai Sante Fe.

The 18-year-old driver was taken to an out-of-region hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
