1 person dead, 2 in hospital after fatal car crash in Niagara Region

Niagara police are investigating after a fatal car crash in Wainfleet killed one person and sent two people to the hospital.

Police responded to the crash on Thursday shortly after 4 p.m. on Forks Rd., west of Morog Rd. Officers say they found a 2008 Dodge Caliber on its roof with three people inside.

Paramedics provided life-saving measures to one of the occupants, a 38-year-old woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other two occupants of the car were taken to an out-of-town hospital. Officers say they are in stable condition.

Police are investigating the circumstances related to the cause of the crash.
