1 dead, at least 2 injured after house party shooting in Flamborough

Hamilton police say one person is dead and at least two others are injured after a huge house party ended in gunfire on Highway Six North in Flamborough.

A black Mercedes Benz with bullet holes was visible for most of Sunday. Just down the road between Concessions Six and Seven, another car with the windows shot out was visible.

“An altercation took place here just off Highway six at a short-term rental property. We responded just after 4:30 this morning for a shots fired call. We were able to locate a male deceased in a vehicle just down the road,” said Inspector Andrea Torrie.

Police also found another man and a woman who’d been shot but without life-threatening injuries, and said another woman had been injured in an assault.

The house at 1046 Highway Six North is advertised as the party villa, the ultimate remote party destination with an indoor pool and plenty of space and privacy.

Police say there were about 60 people here early Sunday but there’s no word on what started the trouble.

Police say the homicide victim drove himself away from the party before he was found dead.

Several units of the Hamilton police including homicide, canine, forensics, and traffic, with the support of Halton police and the OPP are helping with the investigation.

Police say there’s no identification yet of the man who was killed or any suspects.
