After earning her honours degree in Political Science from the University of Guelph, Melissa moved to Hamilton in 2008 to attend the Mohawk College Print and Broadcast Journalism program. She has lived in Hamilton ever since and is thrilled to be telling stories throughout the community at CHCH News.

After chasing breaking news overnight for almost a year as the Morning Live Videographer, Melissa made the switch to evening news in 2011. Since then, she's covered a wide range of local, national, and international stories including the Pan Am Stadium debate in Hamilton, Jack Layton's visitations in Ottawa and the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.

A love for travel has taken Melissa all over the world including Sweden and Italy where she completed some of her university education. However her heart is in Hamilton and Melissa's favourite stories to tell are the ones in her own backyard.
