Hamilton and Niagara Police have updated the investigation into skeletal human remains found in West Lincoln in April.

They confirm the remains found are that of Felicia Floriani, 15, of Hamilton. She vanished in 2002, one of two sex-trade workers who went missing that year.

Floriani is believed to be one of the women involved in the Project Advocate investigation, which was a Hamilton and Halton police initiative that probed the murder and disappearance of eight sex trade workers between 2002 and 2004.

Hamilton Police Det-Sgt Steve Hrab: “All of these incidents seem to center in and around the time of spring 2002 and it would be obvious to us that there is some sort of a link. We haven’t had any other incidents since that time since the arrests and whether or not they are responsible we won’t be commenting. But we do feel that there is a tie in with those attacks.”

Another Hamilton woman, 39 year old Susan Gourley was also reported missing in 2002 by her family. Her case remains unsolved.
