Human remains found in Brantford

On Monday at around 6:30pm, a person was walking down by the Grand River and found human remains down the by river.

The police were contacted and arrived at the west bank near the Silver Bridge.

The body has been identified as that of a middle aged man who had been reported missing to another police jurisdiction.

The investigation revealed that the man died many months ago, in the location he was found.

The family has been notified.

Police do not believe that foul play was involved in the death of the person, and are still trying to determine the cause of death.
