Hamilton police investigate after person slashed with knife at J.C. Beemer Park

Hamilton police responded to a reported stabbing at J.C. Beemer Park on Sunday evening.

Officers say the incident happened shortly after 8 p.m.

Upon arrival, police found an uncooperative victim with a minor slash wound to her arm.

Investigators say she refused medical treatment and even refused to identify herself.

Hamilton police believe an unknown man used a small knife during an interaction with the victim and slashed her in the arm before fleeing in a truck.

Police say they found the possible suspect, who also refused to cooperate.

The investigation is ongoing.
