Cannabis Cupboard in Beamsville robbed for 2nd time in a month

First Published:

A dispensary in the Town of Beamsville has been held up for the second time in less than a month.

Niagara police say they were called the Cannabis Cupboard on Ontario Street around 9 p.m. on Monday.

According to their report, a masked man entered the store and brandished a “suspected gun” to steal an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing North on Ontario Street on foot.

No one was injured during the robbery.

The department says they called in their K9 unit to canvass the area following the theft but were unable to find the suspect.

This is the second time in less than a month that this store has been victimized by crime.

On March 28, a similar incident took place when a man entered the store and robbed it at gunpoint.

Authorities are circulating a photo from Monday’s stick-up in an effort to track down the suspect.

Police describe him as a white male who stands at five-foot-eleven. He was wearing a plain blue bandana over his face, a blue jacket with an emblem on the left chest, blue jeans and white-soled running shoes.

At the time of the robbery, his right hand was in his front right jacket pocket while his left hand carried a blue reusable shopping bag. The suspect wore black gloves.

Anyone with information that could assist police in their investigation is asked to contact authorities by calling 905-688-4111 option 3, extension 1009383.
